National Science Teachers Association

Dow is currently a member of National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), which was founded in 1944 and is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Dow is a sponsor of the most prestigious award presented by NSTA, the Robert H. Carleton Award for National Leadership in the Field of Science Education. Dow has hosted teacher workshops and provides sponsorship to teachers and administrators to attend NSTA conventions. The conventions provide a wealth of teacher professional development opportunities and science education materials for the classroom. Dow has also published chemistry lesson plans and environmental education materials with NSTA.

The National Science Teachers Association is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. Their current membership is 55,000 and includes science teachers, science supervisors, administrators, scientists, business and industry representatives, and others involved in and committed to science education.
