Careers in Science

Student Programs

Have you always wanted to be a scientist? Dow provides many opportunities to students who want to learn more about careers in math, science and technology. Our manufacturing sites in North America participate in Take Your Child to Work Day activities, and allow students to job shadow employees. Job shadowing is a good way to get a first-hand look at what Dow employees’ jobs are like and learn more about their daily activities.

Older students can gain valuable experience through co-op positions for students in high school and college. These are offered in many different areas of the company, such as Research & Development, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources and Public Affairs. Rotational programs are also available for college students pursuing degrees in chemistry, engineering, and other fields related to science and technology. For more information on opportunities for students, visit Careers @ Dow or talk with your teacher or guidance counselor.
